MP CPCT typing test — official requirements
The Computer Proficiency Certification Test (CPCT) is required for data entry operator, IT operator, Assistant Grade-3, steno and similar posts under the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

How NWPM is calculated
NWPM = correct words typed ÷ minutes. Words are split at spaces and must match the passage exactly; there is no per-mistake penalty and no separate accuracy cut-off. Backspace is allowed.

- English: 30–40 NWPM = 50%, 41–50 = 60%, 51–60 = 70%, 61–70 = 80%, 71–80 = 90%, 81+ = 100%
- Hindi: 20–25 NWPM = 50%, 26–30 = 60%, 31–35 = 70%, 36–40 = 80%, 41–50 = 90%, 51+ = 100%
